The Splendor of God
“For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens. 6 Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and glory are in his sanctuary.” Psalm 65:4-6
Of the four seasons, my favorite is the fall. I love the crisp cool days and the clear chilly nights. I enjoy the smell of the smoke coming out of people’s chimneys. I am comforted by the sound of the wind as it moves across the dried leaves in the trees. But, my most favorite part is the awesome splendor of the trees as they take on hues of red, yellow and orange. It’s like God takes a paint brush and paints a picture that no human could ever create. And God did this for us!
He created our planet in such a way that we could come to know Him. And understand the splendor of His great love for each and everyone one of us. So, get out and enjoy the season and as you do, think about how awesome of God is that He would create such beauty for us to enjoy!
